Enhancement on ADM Communications in BSPlink

To comply with the Industry requirements new enhancements to improve the communication channel in BSPlink between Agents, Airlines and GDSs were implemented to discourage usage of email communication outside of BSP. These changes also improve the ADM communication tool and the visibility of the ADMs forwarded to the GDSs.

EasyPay – Queries Update

For BSPs where the EasyPay form of payment is allowed in BSPlink (i.e. the BSP Basic Parameter Easy Pay Available is activated), all the related queries were modified to accept EasyPay as a valid FOP.

ADM Policy query & Forwarded ADMs Global File

The option ADM Policy Query under ADM module added to the GDS shows the ADM policies set by active airlines in the environment the user is connected to or all the BSPlink environments the GDS has access to. The result can be downloaded to a .txt file through the Download link. Also, this same link is now available within Agent's ADM Policy Query option.

The GDS, through the ADM Policy Global File option that appears under the ADM module, can also request a text file with the file descriptor 26 containing the ADM Policy links configured by the airlines present in all the BSPlink environments where the GDS has access to. The file is delivered to 'FILES - Download' section.

New related document types for ADMs and ACMs

When an ADM or ACM is issued, in addition to the current document types, two new radio buttons (Exchange and EMD) will be added to the related documents section in the ADM and ACM forms. Now the user will be able to select four different values: Issue, Refund, Exchange and EMD. This development also includes the Forwarded ADMs Global File option for the GDS in the country where GDS is set to receive a copy of the Global Ticketing Authority files through BSPlink. The option is under the ADM module and the GDS can request a file with the file descriptor 25 with information of all ADMs forwarded by agents in all the BSPlink environments where the GDS has access to. The file is sent to 'FILES - Download' section.

PBD Additional enhancements IRIS

Enhancements have been added on the generation process of the PBD files to improve control over the reception of files on IRIS side. Now, files are generated every day even if these are empty (due to no documents issued or changes on the PBD status during the day). Also, split files are generated to differentiate status changes for Multi-country and multi-currencies BSPs.
Finally, validations to not allow PBD registration for suspended airlines or starting PBD by defaulted agents have been added.

Airline Name in BSPlink

This enhancement in BSPlink will allow to increase the airline’s name field within the Master Table to make the field length consistent with MDM and IBSPs, it will have now up to 70 characters. This change will only apply to countries already connected to IBSPs and will avoid the Airline Name cut in BSPlink.

Ticketing Authority IFG

A new version of Ticketing Authority (TA) file containing full data for all GDS/BSPs has been developed upon the request from IATA Financial Gateway (IFG) Project Team. Also, the initial dump of TA Master Data has been provided to IFG.

Agent De / Reactivation

The deactivation and reactivation of Agents via Web Services will be aligned with the parameter setting in BSPlink Basic Configuration/ Master Tables. The default setting is date+30+latency days. The BSP, however can change this to D+90 days. When agents are reactivated (or UNDO option is used), the date in the agent master table will be removed.

Enhancements to TA messaging from BSPlink

Three enhancements have been performed to the automatic e-mail alerts which are delivered to the corresponding users when TA modifications are performed. Also, an optional daily zip file with file descriptor ‘16’ can be generated for the GDS users containing all warning validations.

Global sFTP Accounts Modification

The folder structure of the Global SFTP accounts will be modified to include two eliminated folders: One in the Download folder and the other in the Upload - BAD_FILES folder. The purpose of this development is to facilitate file management process.

The BSPlink Supplier disabled unsafe communication protocols in their sFTP servers on 28^th February 2017. However, the modification has been rolled back temporarily to give sFTP users more time to upgrade their client software.

BSPlink User E-mail Notifications

After the access credentials are reset, the Airline users will receive the email notification with the new access credentials, including the IATA Code and name registered.

Additional Upload SFTP Account for Airlines

Airline users will be able to create a second upload SFTP account through the option: SUB-SERS MANAGEMENT -> "Additional Upload SFTP Account". The second account will be named as: upload2CCUUU, where CC is the ISOC and UUU is the Airline code.

Rejected Documents

Some documents were rejected when the RTDN included in the Refund documents belonged to a range series that was defined for a document type without coupons.  The system has been modified and the validation has been eliminated. Please go to the Newsletter to read more.

vMPD Users Termination

After vMPD sunset (31^st March 2015), Airline and Agent vMPD users will be expired.

Agent users will be notified about the amended remittance amounts through PDF files containing instructions, initial amount on billing analysis and amounts adjusted from suspended airlines and final amounts to be remitted. A corresponding email alert about the notice will be added in BSPlink for agent users, regardless of their template.

Modification in BSPlink RET Files for the RMIC Field

Currently the ADM/ACM documents include the RMIC field. However, if this value is less than 5 characters, the value is not being included within the BSPlink RET file. This behaviour has been modified in order to include the complete field within the BSPlink RET file.

GDS: A new option will be added to the GDS menu in BSPlink, through which the user will be able to request a "Delete File for Non-TA records” in TXT or XML format, with information of the country in which the user is logged in. The file will be generated after the scheduled Global TA File and delivered to the GDS’s BSPlink container.

Airline communication files '0000' with file descriptor 'mi' will be copied from the country they were delivered to, to the corresponding HOMU SFTP accounts 'download' folder, as long as the HOMU has access to that country.

Remove Restriction for 'ADM by Number' Query

The behavior of the ‘ADM By Number' query has been changed in order to allow agents to see the details of the ADMs even if these documents have been reported to the DPC, but only when the Post-Billing Dispute period is still valid. This new behavior works regardless of the agent’s template and access permissions assigned by the BSP.

The 'BSPlink Transaction Comments' feature from the Email Alert Maintenance menu, which was only available for Enhanced users, has now been made available to all agent and airline users.

DISH 22

The BSPlink application will be adapted to the new version of the BSP Data Interchange Specifications Handbook (DISH22), effective since 1st January 2014. Please download your newsletter for further information.

BSPlink Options Enhancements

The BSPlink application will be enhanced for BSPlink agent group users to allow only the selection of the periods available within the corresponding year and month.

BSPlink has been modified to add two new columns in the "Agent Groups Query" option: "Active" - which reflects the status of the group user, and "Number of members" –  shows the total number of users within the group.

PNRR Weblink Report

A 'csv' daily report containing transactions reported by carriers and accepted in Weblink will be generated for those airlines which have been previously configured via WEBLINK and for the agents with transactions for those airlines.

Phase II: Ticketing Authority Files XML

For those airlines configured to receive the Global TA XML files, two new options named "Global TA Request" and “XML Files” have been added to the “Files” menu in BSPlink where the user can request and receive an ‘image’ of the CIP table for that environment. The user will be able to download the file through the WEB application or SFTP account, or can request the information be included in the next scheduled XML file.

1. For GDS, the new functionality "Assign GDS to all existing agents” and the new parameter "Assign all new agents" have been created, which will allow the GDS to add all active agents.
2. The TA Global files will be modified to trigger DEL/ADD actions when the airline's designator code is modified.

Phase I: Ticketing Authority Files XML

1. BSPlink will generate globally-consolidated ticketing authority information in XML format. The files will be delivered to the Airlines automatically every 2 hours.
2. This development will have two phases. The second phase will go into production with the October release of BSPlink.

Currency Conversion

As of 29th of July 2014, only the airline code from the massupload file name will be controlled when applying currency conversion. If the airline code of the file name corresponds to an airline that has been configured for currency conversion, all the transactions within that file will be converted.

BSPlink Options Enhancement

The BSPlink application will be enhanced to allow only the selection of the periods available within the corresponding year and month when querying using OTHER SERVICES and GENERAL QUERIES.

Global Ticketing Authority Files Modification

The Ticketing Authority files generation has been modified in order to help the GDSs files processing. All Ticketing Authority actions will now be included in chronological order by agent code:

BSPlink Options Enhancement

The BSPlink application will be enhanced to allow only the selection of the periods available within the corresponding year and month when querying using STATISTICS/BILLING, NET SALES and DOCUMENTS.

An email is sent with credentials every time a Multi Country or HOMU user is reset. By the time the user receives the e-mail; its credentials will already be replicated in all the environments the user is active in.

ADM Policy Enhancement – Transaction Issue Restriction

In Basic configuration, Basic parameters, ADM/ACM settings, ADM policy, airlines will be able to enter the link for their ADM policy, at the same time; agents will be able to query ADM policies under ADM/ACM policy query. NOTE: This is mandatory as of 1st June 2014. Note that agents and BSP will also be able to query the airlines' ADM policies.

This development will have two phases. The first phase will go into production with the March release of BSPlink.

In the Refund Notice, Refund Application, Authorization and Under Investigation forms, a new section will be added to allow the user to register information for a Miscellaneous Form of Payment.

Waiver Code in RA Download File

The Waiver Code WAVR will be included in the file, if applicable, at the end of each refund line, separated by a pipe.

Control Periods on General Queries – Non Comparative and Rejected Documents

The drop-down menu that allows users to select period, month and year has been made dynamic so that when a month is selected, the system will refresh and show the available periods for that month.

Agents will no longer be able to delete Refund Applications after rejection by the Airlines. This will allow the Airlines to query those documents via the ption “Refund Application Query – By Status.

Convert CUTP from ISO to BSPlink

In some BSPs the decimals in BSPlink/DPC currency are not equal to ISO currency standards.In order to solve this problem, a new BSPlink module will allow the conversion of mass upload ADM/ACM files per active airline from ISO currency to BSP/DPC currency.

The online BSPlink Refund Notice and Refund Application will be modified in order to allow the user to dynamically enter as many taxes as needed. The behavior will be exactly the same as in the current VMPD form.

Carrier Identification Plate (CIP) and Ticket Service Provider (TSP) Master Files

A header and footer have been added to the daily CIP and TSP master files addressed to the DPC recipient.

EMD / Weblink RET Validation Update

The validation of the Weblink RET files will be updated in order to accept the values “Y” and blank in the EMCI field.

ADM VISION Enhanced Dispute File

New improvement aimed for ADM Vision users so that more information (if configured by the user), can be included in the ‘eh’ file, i.e., ADM amount, dispute date and ticket number.

In order to align the basic user template across user types, Basic Airlines users will now have access to the Sub User Management module.

Download of Multiple ADM/ACM Attachments

In order to facilitate the download of attached files, a new link named “Download attachments of marked ocuments” will be added when agents, agent groups, airlines, BSPs and GDSs users are querying the ADM/ACM list.

The Rejected Documents query in BSPlink has now been aligned and the enhancement is currently live in AU and pilot in CA.

Weblink - FPIN in IT09

A new validation will be added to the WEBlink TKTT and EMDA/EMDS transaction process, to verify that at least the first occurrence of the FPIN (“IT09-first line of Form of Payment Information box, i.e., FPIN” for DISH file format, and “Record 07-Form of Payment Information - Line #1.FPIN” for TCN file format) contains a valid non ‘blank’ character.

For Refund Applications where the document type has been defined as neutral, the airlines will be able to change the STAT indicator, through the authorization and under investigation in the on-line form. The Mass loader process for the “Refund Application action file” (e9), will be changed. The IT02.STAT field will be checked and if the value of the IT02.STAT does not match with the STAT indicator of this type document, an error will be reported, and the transaction will be rejected..

EMD - Reasons for Issuance Codes

Currently, EMDs displayed in BSPlink follow the format of VMCO and VMPD transactions. This means that EMDS and EMDA specific records do not appear in the display. In addition, EMD transactions have their own Reasons for Issuance Codes.

Ticketing Authority Assignations on Register Date

It will still be possible for the BSP or an airline to give ticketing authority to a new agent with a future register date but the change will only take effect on the register date (the assignation will no longer be immediate).

This development aims to unify the overall look of the welcome pages with a gallery of images (for banners) on top.

Daily VMPD and RFND Synchronization in Decentralized Countries

This enhancement allows the synchronization process of BSPlink Refunds and VMPD transactions in decentralized countries the day after issuance, as in centralized countries when the BSP parameter 'Daily Browser RET' is set to ‘Yes’.

Last Date for Which DPC HOT Data is Available

The last date for HOT Data’s availability is based not only in the HOT's file name but also from the latest transaction's issue date.

The electronic signature process currently used to sign the PDF files in Netherlands and Slovenia has been strengthened.

UTP Summary Enhancement

Improving the BSPlink application in a way that it will only allow selecting the periods available within the corresponding year and month when querying the Summary of UTPs.

For all  of Asia Pac, N. Asia, Nordic and Baltic, Canada, Bermuda and some Eastern and Southern European countries, the BSPlink databases are now being  updated by the DPC on a daily basis, which enhances BSPlink’s relevance  as an up to date and accurate information repository.

BSPlink is made fully compatible with the third most used browser among the user community.

In order to avoid illegitimate forced connection attempts to the BSPlink application, the system will block the user for a period of 15 minutes if 3 repeated failed login attempts have been registered.

Several changes will be performed in the BSPlink application once this development is activated by the corresponding country BSP.

Resolution 850M ADM Module Alignment - 9 Months of Final Travel (or refund issuance) Date

For on line issue of ADMs, the system will check the issue date of the related document. If the related ticket or refund was issued more than 9 month previously, there will be a display of warning message.

The menu display has been changed to facilitate menu navigation by sliding, minimizing and maximizing content, and furthermore, Files Download has been modified by adding dynamic filters which may be used to filter through the file listings.

Printing ADM/ACM Forms
